Nestled in the rolling hills of rural Iowa, Evergreen Acres has been a beloved family-owned Christmas tree farm for over 30 years. Established in 1989, our charming farm has become a seasonal tradition for families near and far. Generations of the same family have tended to the lush rows of Scotch pine, White Pine, Fraser fir and Blue Spruce, each tree carefully nurtured from sapling to majestic holiday centerpiece.

During the holiday season, the air is filled with the fresh scent of pine and the laughter of visitors as they search for the perfect tree. A cozy, wood-burning stove crackles inside the farm's vintage barn, where guests can sip hot cocoa and hot apple cider, browse handmade wreaths, and admire festive decorations. The family’s deep-rooted passion for their craft and the land shines through in every detail, making Evergreen Acres not just a place to buy a tree, but a cherished part of holiday memories for all who visit.

Our services

Choose and Cut

Price range: $50 to $125 each. You can choose and cut your own tree, request it be cut for you while you wait, or have it ready for you when you arrive. Hand saws and tree wagons provided. No Gas powered saws

Flocking and Netting

Once selected, trees are typically wrapped in netting for easy transport and loaded onto vehicles by staff. Flocking can also be requested.

Handmade Fresh Wreaths, Garlands and Grave Crosses

Handmade holiday wreaths, garlands, and other greenery for sale.

Holiday Gift Shop

We have ornaments, holiday decorations, tree stands and other holiday gifts.

Cookies and Cider

We offer hot apple cider, hot cocoa and cookies and to enjoy while walking through the farm

Meet The Family

The Nelson's first purchased the farm in the early 1970's. In 1984 the plans to open a tree farm that can share our love of Chrismas to everyone that came by. By 1989 we were able to sell our first tree and have been lovingly sharing the magic ever since. Currently three generations are working here and we still love it, over 30 years later
